I love getting together with friends and families over a good meal. But this year, while we’re feasting on festive goodies, let us not forget how fortunate we are. I came across the United Nations World Food Programme site a week ago, and was moved by all the hard work they’ve put in to help those who do not have what we commonly take for granted—food. Did you know that the greatest number of hungry people is living in the same region as most of us? That’s right here in Asia Pacific. 578 million, and many of them kids. The problem isn’t that far away from us, as long as we open our eyes to see it. It’s a great time to spread the joy.
So this December, join me to end the year on a good note by helping the World Food Programme fight hunger. It takes only a little effort to do a whole lot of good.
