In the past, when information was scarce, we had no choice but to trust our doctors. We believed that the Hippocratic Oath that they took would ensure that they make decisions based on our best interests. In recent years however, we have seen many cases where doctors fail to act in their patient’s interests. In Bangkok for instance, a 24-year-old Briton died of an infection after undergoing liposuction. The surgeon was arrested for negligence. And in Singapore, an aesthetic doctor was found guilty of ‘wilful neglect’. He had prescribed medication that his patient was allergic to, and even tampered with notes to cover up his mistake.
How then, can you find a doctor that you can trust?
Our panel of specialists is selected through an invitation only process. Our invitation selection process involves a combination of reviews from their peers, patients and other medical and healthcare professionals. We also meet with each doctor in person and conduct an in depth interview in order to ensure that he/she adheres to the standard of care that we expect. This process ensures that all the doctors and/or specialists on our panel will treat you with respect, uphold the highest level of care and integrity and most of all grant you priority service.
