Cancer changes lives, and drastically so. The journey to recovery is a tough and arduous one, and it goes far beyond chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In fact, it has been reported that 87 per cent of cancer patients are dealing with symptoms such as pain, weakness and fatigue. But from this September onwards, cancer patients in Singapore will receive a little more help and convenience in this journey, with a dedicated, one-stop centre at JEM shopping mall in Jurong. The S$2 million centre will offer comprehensive integrated care specially catered for cancer patients, from physical therapy to psychological counseling, support groups and more. It is estimated to benefit about half of the cancer patients here.
